Khmer Beat is a free place to listen to Khmer music in your browser or on your phone. This guide walks through the features that make it easiest to find something you like, and a few that many people miss.
Start by browsing
Open the Browse page to explore the collection by genre (such as pop, rock, traditional Khmer, wedding and oldies) and by mood (such as chill, party, romance and sad). Each collection page shows a short description and a list of songs with the most-played first, so it is a quick way to discover music without knowing a name.
Artist and album pages gather everything in one place. Open an artist to see their songs and albums, and open an album to see its full tracklist.
Search by name or by lyric
The search box finds songs, artists and albums by name in English or Khmer. It can also search lyrics: if you remember a line from a song but not its title, type a few words from it and Khmer Beat will look for songs whose lyrics contain them. Searching in Khmer script usually gives the best results for Khmer lyrics.
Sing along with synced lyrics
Many songs have time-synced lyrics. Open the player and choose the sing-along view, and the current line is highlighted as the song plays. It is a great way to learn the words, practise reading Khmer, or just sing with friends. Not every song has synced lyrics yet; more are being added over time.

You can listen without signing in, but a free account lets you:

Playlists can be shared with a link, which is handy for weddings, parties and road trips.
Listen together
Listen Together lets you share a session with friends or family so that everyone hears the same song at the same moment, even in different places. Sign in, start a session and send the code to the people you want to join.
Take it with you
Khmer Beat works in any modern browser. On a phone you can add the website to your home screen from your browser menu so that it opens like an app. Android users can also download the Khmer Song Lite app from the download page.
Help us improve it
If a song is missing, a name is spelled wrongly or lyrics are out of time, use the Contact page and tell us which song. Signed-in users can also send a song request. Many corrections come straight from listeners, and we read every message.
